About

David Dewar's adventures in entertainment span more than five decades in film, television and the professional theatre.

He has produced, directed or written for television for Sky Atlantic(UK), TF1(France), RTL(Germany), Netflix, Amazon, ABC, NBC, CBS, CBC, Global, The Disney Channel, TNT, Showtime, Nickelodeon, Lifetime and Space. Recent television projects include: Co-Producer, Sweet Magnolias (Netflix); Producer, Take Two (ABC) and Producer Post Production, Britannia (Sky Atlantic); Spotless (Canal+) and Crossing Lines (TF1).

Feature film credits include: Girl In Progress (Lionsgate), Far From Home (20thCentury Fox), Bordello of Blood (Universal), Freestyle (20th Century Fox) and Arctic Blue (Columbia/Tristar).

He is a Director member of the Director's Guild of Canada and past Chairman of the BC Motion Picture Association. He has served on the Board of the Centre For Image and Sound Research and the Royal City Musical Theatre Society. Publications include: "PostAge, A Handbook of Film and Television Post Production." He has lectured in film and television production and post production at the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, the National Screen Institute and the Vancouver International Film Festival.
