Passing of Former Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø PD Lieutenant Patrick G. Jackson

Dear Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Colleagues:

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the passing of Former Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø PD Lieutenant Patrick G. Jackson after a short illness. Patrick began his distinguished career in 1970 with the Fresno Police Department, where he dedicated his life to serving and protecting the citizens of the City of Fresno. In 2016, he became a guardian of education, joining the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Police Department.

Patrick served the District's campus community with honor and professionalism, initially as a Police Sergeant. His dedication and commitment to ensuring the safety of our educational institutions did not go unnoticed, leading to his promotion to Police Lieutenant on May 31, 2019. In this role, he served as the second-in-command of Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø PD until his retirement on October 14, 2022.

We acknowledge Patrick's profound impact on the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø PD and the entire campus community. His years of dedicated service have left an indelible mark on our department and the lives of those he worked alongside.

We express our deepest gratitude for Patrick's unwavering commitment to the safety and security of our educational community. It was a great honor to work with him, and his legacy will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We send our condolences to his wife, Barbara, and their children during this difficult time. Details regarding memorial services and ways to express condolences will be shared as they become available. May he rest in peace.
